About Us

It is difficult to fully describe Native Essence in words. Native Essence opened in December of 2008 by Owner Greg Milkovich. His love of the outdoors and beautiful Native American jewelry inspired him to open Native Essence and share this with everyone. When you arrive and during your visit you will be treated like you are a guest in our "home". So many of our visitors have remarked about the feeling of warmth and appreciation we show to each person. They say Native Essence, "just has that feeling of being at home." That is our goal, to make you feel welcome and like you have never felt before in a retail store!

Company history

I opened Native Essence in December 2008. I want to share all of these beautiful things with you and provide you the opportunity to make life just a little more enjoyable through art works, jewelry, and home decor. Times are tough and we can all use just some small things in life to adjust our attitudes. My name is Greg Milkovich, I am the son of a Pittsburgh steelworker and bakery store manager. I am a 1979 graduate of Penn State University and have been a manager in the retail industry for 24 years. I am the owner, general manager, only employee, coffee maker, web site administrator, janitor, and director of sales and consumer satisfaction. I invite you to come and visit and enjoy a truly unique shopping experience.

Native Essence Dedication

The Store and this web site are dedicated in the memory of my father Paul and my mother Sophie Milkovich. I wish they would have had the chance to see our store. Also I dedicate the store and this site to two fine young men and remarkable boys, my sons, Shaun 17, and Cory 15, whose hard work and sacrifices helped to get this venture up and running!
